About him
I am an engineer. I started off designing mining conveyors and now design software systems. My motto: "almost everything can be sorted out with a bit of thought". I am fascinated by people, love animals but am definitely not a vegetarian, have stopped smoking (I 'vape', but don't mind if you smoke), I like a G&T or 2 of an evening and love most music - but especially classical (erstwhile violinist/pianist) and jazz/big band. Travel, theatre, opera, ballet, reading (favourite Pratchet), agricultural shows, walking, horses, camping, sports... I love life! Life is not a joke - but laughing at yourself is the best medicine there is!
I think there are two aspects of a relationship: The day-to-day and the deep. The day-to-day covers normal life - dancing through the day's activities with each other smoothly and happily. Dealing with practicalities in a caring, easy-going, considerate, thoughtful way. Having fun and lots of laughter. The deep is something else. It is there at all times, but comes to the front during those intimate moments when nothing is taboo, total and utter truth is shared and no corner of one's mind or body is hidden or masked.
