.Love travelling, eating out and enjoying Life. Enjoy Bridge, dancing, walking etc. I was widowed in 2003 after 32 years of happy marriage and now feel that it is time to move on with my life... still very young after all! I have partially retired and now work only 2 or 3 days a week so have plenty of free time. UPDATE.... now fully retired and wondering how I ever found time to work!
I currently live on my own and have a 41 year old married daughter who has 2 children 10 and 6 I love being a granddad!
As for travelling, I love to experience new countries and although it is a cliche, it really does broaden ones outlook. I think my favourite area is South East Asia,( I have been to Vietnam, Cambodia, Phillipines, Bali to name a few) with its amazing variety of cultures, history and food, but am equally at home visiting Europe or sunnier climes! I have enjoyed ballroom and Latin dancing but at the moment I am enjoying Line dancing much more. Far from its fuddy duddy image, it has crossed over so many styles and is a great way to let your hair down.
I have a somewhat drole sense of humour, loving wordplay and puns to the excruciation of any company I am in at the time! Also enjoy cryptic crosswords and quizzes. I am adaptable and friendly.
Keen on evenings out to Theatre, Restaurants, Galleries, in fact anything that is enjoyable. Have played golf to a very poor standard and would happily take up again with someone sharing that interest. Enjoy gardening .
A couple of items from my bucket list.. Walking the Thames from source to mouth and a trip to China. UPDATE have now done a 25 day trip to China and the Galapagos has replaced it on my bucket list
What am I looking for? Any potential responder should have a positive attitude to life generally. I am not at home with negativity. No i'm not ( lol)
