I am a sociable person, involved with many community activities in my village. I enjoy walking my dog in the nearby forest.
I am quite blunt and honest and dislike false "image conscious" people..that doesn't mean I am boring, as I enjoy a good laugh and a blether.
I like poetry (especially Scots poetry)...my party-piece is "Tam O' Shanter", which I have recited many times at Burns suppers.
I enjoy knitting and sewing and puzzling for hours over cryptic crosswords,before I admit defeat and look up the answers, then kick myself for not getting it right!
I am currently listening to all the Sherlock Holmes audio books.

I am looking for an ordinary, realistic, kind man.
It would be nice to have someone with whom to share life's ups and downs, to laugh with and to chat over tea and toast.
A cosy dinner or a walk would be good to start with.
I am quite a home body and could not keep up with someone who wanted to go on endless foreign holidays. Although I would not describe myself as a wimp, I am afraid of flying.
