I'm a traditional man seeking Ms Right. Have been carer for family members since university, but in spare time enjoy creative writing (currently working on a series of fantasy novels), video games (both playing and designing), swimming, walking, cycling, orienteering, reading, music (play clarinet and sing), films and cooking. Participate in amateur acting, especially musical theatre. Would love to travel further afield (do you fancy being my travelling companion?) Like to be optimistic and friendly but am generally considered somewhat serious. I take people as I find them but my close friends all describe me as a "nice guy" and totally loyal. I pride myself on having a somewhat "quirky" sense of humour, especially making bad puns!

I'm not looking for a stunningly beautiful young lady (beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all!) but my ideal match would be fun, home-loving, love children and animals. If you share some of my interests, that would give us common ground to build on our initial spark, but I'm always happy to try new experiences and suggestions. There are only two things that would be a deal breaker, which would be a) cruelty to children and animals and b) being untrustworthy. If you share my sense of humour, so much the better.
