About him
Refined and cultured, multi-lingual and slightly cynical, I am not a sports fan but am interested in politics, economics, philosophy , the theatre and literature. For my sins I play bridge. I love good food and am a moderately accomplished cook. I dislike ideological vegetarians and, a forteriori, vegans--though I accept people who simply don't like meat for gustative reasons. I find mobile phone addicts a pest, especially in restaurants. I like conversation and therefore dislike music in restaurants. I love travel and have been fortunate to travel abroad both professionally and for holidays.
About his ideal match
A woman of intelligence and culture who is well-travelled and shares at least some of my interests. In terms of appearance I have no particular "type" but do like women who are "soignees" (take care of their appearance). I am particularly sensitive to a woman's hands; lastly I am not attracted to women who are significantly overweight.
In terms of personality, I look for someone who is warm and has a good sense of humour.
