About him
Retired Building Surveyor, now involved doing volunteering work with weekly gardening in our local town Park. More recently also do some paid gardening work fortnightly.
Following retirement, did Uni short courses in History/Archaeology ( 2014-15) along with 3.5 years on a large Conservation Project. An animal lover, mainly dogs and some cats. A regular dog minder/walker for family/close friends. My friends would describe me as very friendly/ quirky, and sometimes chatty with dry sense of humour. Generally a happy go lucky person. I have a adult daughter in Sweden, and son with partner in outer London,(now first time parents Dec '18, and me a grandparent). I love being in their company, for visits/ days out.
Seeking a lady friend that enjoys the outdoors with walks/treks, seashore, hill walks. Outings to theatre/cinema/culture. Love musical variety, Classic, Reggae, Blues, Choral, orchestral.
Can appear to be quiet, due perhaps to slight hearing loss. Remain quietly confident, unselfish and caring. Served in HM Forces ( Corps of Royal Engineers) during the 70's. Spend time with family history on line, and enjoy books, some tv, but not soaps. Also enjoy doing walks/treks solo, or with my family.

A lady with a sense of humour allied to a good understanding of people. A degree of compassion and lightheartedness would be welcome.
A lady to be open about life is good too. Some people are subject to good/ not so good memories, but to live for the now is appealing, and can be progressive I believe.
Like to share common activities, walks/treks country/coastal, swimming, cycling, cinema. To also have quiet times, cosy chats, reading, tv viewing, films, theatre. Have done the sporty things years ago, Judo, rugby, football, skiing, athletics. Did college Am/dram many years ago. More recently signed up with agencies to do Tv/Film/Doc background work as an extra.
A deal breaker would be meeting someone not in the mood to chat, or appears bored. A meet up should be something to look forward to, even as strangers. I'm very willing to give it a try.
