About him
Watersports, mainly canoeing, have been a major part of my life, and expedtions to Norway, Canada, Alaska, and Greenland have been the highlights. I am also interested in travel, nature, books, and music. I spent almost 37 years in the military, almost all overseas; the last 40 years in Germany, so dont really know the UK that well as I was 18 when I first went overseas. I care about protecting this Earth from human destruction and am a National Park Guide, Six months of the year is spent in Germany where I have a house, which hopefully will be sold in 2019. The other half of the year is spent on a narrowboat in England touring the 2000 mile canal network visiting the outstanding engineering and architectural wonders of the Industrial Revolution. Outlook is to see my days out in peace and quiet continuing to do the things that matter to me, on my narrowboat

I am looking for someone who would like to join me on this adventure, living on a narrowboat, even if only for a limited time of the year A sense of humour and like interests, would be welcome. A positive outlook to life is a prerequisite. Perhaps too much to ask for but worth a try; we shall see
