Friends describe me as fun loving, full of energy and much younger than my years. I’m affectionate, kind, honest and very easy to get to know
I’m interested in a wide range of activities including art, walking, gardening, photography, travel, cooking and keeping fit. I’m open minded, enjoy spontaneity and am always willing to try anything once (well almost anything)! I believe that sharing interests is important but that chemistry is the deal breaker.
When the weather is kind and even when it isn’t, I love walking, and as a Northern lass I have a soft spot for the Peak District and the Yorkshire dales. A good walk followed by a hearty pub lunch beside a roaring fire is one of my favourite ways to spend a day and with someone by my side what could be better.
Although I still have so many places in the UK to explore I also enjoy travelling further afield. Southern India was the most amazing experience last year and I’m already planning a return trip. Regular visits to Istanbul have fueled my interest in Middle Eastern architecture and cuisine although much practice is still required in order to master the perfect meze.
My two children are now adults, living independent lives and I am immensely proud of them. We are a close family and I try to see them on a regular basis.
In my spare time I enjoy dancing and also dabble in some wine tasting although they are not a great combination on the same night.
If you’re looking for someone who likes to shop for clothes every weekend, who spends forever getting ready to go out or who knows the latest storylines in all the soaps then I’m sorry but I’m not your match. Alternatively if you’re looking for someone who loves a good bookshop, enjoys great food and is comfortable in her own skin then maybe you’re the one.
