About him
I'm a former university lecturer who's still a student (Open University) and have maintained a keen interest in science, mathematics and engineering. Enjoy classical music, opera, gardening (perhaps) and I undertake all manner of DIY jobs. Definitely un-religious (a fan of Richard Dawkins), I'm not at ease with in-house dogs or cats, but I do like small garden-type animals and birds. My house can be somewhat cluttered with books, but I have regular tidy-ups to maintain order. Hopeless at food preparation - the Ladybird Book of cookery is just my level. I try to take an optimistic view of life and minimise box-watching.

My ideal match should have a brain like Einstein, a figure like Mrs Peel ('The Avengers') with a face like Helen of Troy (thereby launching 1000 ships, if you believe it). However, ideals are one thing and I'd be happy with a reasonable approximation, with affection & sincerity as absolutely necessary qualities. Would like to share all activities with a suitable female partner : affection, companionship, holidays, concerts, cinema, conversations. Unclear as to the meaning of 'a deal breaker', I'm courteous and well-mannered but not Clark Kent.
