June 2025 updating this a bit as the spring seems to have brought out a few connections and this was old.
There's a lot of love, affection, fun, intelligent conversation and passion going to waste here. Some intelligent people quite like me. I can get interested in almost anything.
Likes: Classic FM but also most pop and rock. I have a very eclectic underwater gramaphone for when I am swimming. Read and listen to audio books a LOT. Left wing, disappointed in Starmer. (Plus ca change) Very much an armchair revolutionary. Cats. Dogs are OK
Dislikes: Brexit, but I have a suspicion I may have voted against joining in 1975 on the advice of Tony Benn.

Researching my ancestry - I have this weekend discovered that I am 25% German. Grandad was in the Royal Fusiliers in both wars but changed his name by deed poll in 1920, which is why we couldn't find his birth certificate.
