Intelligence, kindness and creativity are the characteristics that I most admire in anyone. I think I’m interesting and arty! Although I enjoy socialising and know how to have a good time, I'd really appreciate those quiet moments with that special person.
I am told that I'm good fun to have around and a loyal friend - which I hope is true! Although I work hard, now that my children have flown the nest, I'd like to devote myself to someone special! For the right person, I’d be happy to move from here and would like to swap my own home for a coastal property, a weekend retreat where we could enjoy time alone or with friends.
Art and travel are my main passions. I'm always enthusiastic about exploring new places, both in the UK and abroad and try to get away several times a year. I especially love being by the sea in any weather (beach-combing on tropical shores or watching the waves crash against the rocks on a winter's day). To be honest, having grown up just south of the Lake District and as a keen walker, I'm hoping to avoid living in a city as I'm a country girl at heart and appreciate the lovely area I live in now.
Although I enjoy being out and about seeing new countries and cultures, I’m also happy at home, cooking and making my house and gardens interesting and arty. Oh, and I’m a big fan of French films (but you wouldn't have to be!) To be honest, I never sit still for long and really do squeeze the most out of my life! Keeping fit and slim for me is about being active, doing my own gardens and DIY etc, not spending mindless hours of repetitive exercises in a gym!
