About her
I'm very fortunate that I've had a pretty interesting life. It's not all been roses. I've seen much of the world and still long to see the parts I haven't yet had time to visit. I think I am an outgoing, tolerant, and compassionate person, with a sharp sense of humour and willingness to have a go and to get stuck in. I prefer being outdoors than indoors. I have a grown son who now lives in the Amazon Basin. I visited him in Bolivia which proved to be life changing, and I have since simplified much of how I live my life.
The pandemic this past year pre-empted a decision to cut back on full time work, so I am currently enjoying the time out but itching to do something creative.
I lost my dearly loved Goldendoodle last week, who has been my soul mate for 11.5 years. Acceptance I guess is key to letting go. I write, I love most music, from classical, opera to reggae, r&b, Motown & country. I can move but I can’t sing. I've recently started drawing and trying to paint. I still love cooking, I’m not one for recipes, I pull dishes from my travel experiences and I think if the plate is full of colour and texture it’s probably also going to taste good. My choice of books tends to be autobiographies and classics as well as broadsheets and industry journals.
Dogs have always been a part of my life, I volunteered at the local dogs home while in Bergerac, which was hugely rewarding and I currently support SOIDOG in Asia.
My first career had me touring the world in pointe shoes and tutus. That now sees like a lifetime and another body ago. I have been in the property industry for the past 30 years on three continents. I speak French, it’s certainly not fluent, but well enough to warrant the French to compliment me on my language skills and I’m learning Spanish, though with the travel restrictions, my incentive has waned somewhat.

I'm hoping to find someone who is honest, someone who has travelled extensively, someone who I can laugh out loud with. Someone who loves dogs and the simple things in life. He must be cultured, enjoy the arts and music but not an academic. Love of the outdoors is important, a willingness to try new things and someone who enjoys good food and wines. A love of France helps and South America is on my radar for future travel.
I walk every day and love to get stuck in to any renovation project: homes, garden, cars... I think it’s the problem solving element I enjoy. .
Deal breaker? Well it did ask…smoking, drugs and being miserly wont work for me nor will multiple domestic cat owners. (Sorry -allergy) My politics are left of centre and a voter for Brexit or Trump is a no go zone. Otherwise I’m pretty easy going, and can engage with most people from any walk of life from any place on the planet.
