About him
I am young at heart and look younger than my years and i am very fit for my age.
I enjoy most sports, but in particular I play tennis regularly, golf occasionally, and always ski once a year. I am fortunate that my tennis club has an excellent gym and I always use it before playing tennis. I cycle to my club and any other local venue.
I enjoy walking and cycling and therefore my ideal match does not need to be specifically interested in sport, but would certainly be someone who is in good physical shape and likes the outdoors.
I enjoy traveling abroad and did a 7 wk tour of S.America in 2018. I hope to return to New Zealand and S. Africa, and visit Japan for the first time, and ideally to combine with some skiing.
I have a wide circle of friends, and keep in touch with them and regularly meet up with my daughter (35) and my son (33), both recently married, all of whom would describe me as very sociable. However, I equally enjoy a quiet Sunday reading the Times in the sun or snuggled up in front of the fire.

My ideal match would have time for some lengthy adventures abroad but would also enjoy long romantic wkds in towns and cities throughout the UK and Europe.
Hopefully she would enjoy relaxing in good restaurants, ideally in warm sunshine and sharing a bottle of wine. I enjoy visiting museums and ancient buildings, as much as relaxing with a good book in the sun and quality films, theatre and musicals. I am fortunate that I have easy access to London as well as local theatres.
I enjoy gardening, my house has reasonable sized gardens front and back, and is within a 10 walk of the River Thames, so great walks or bike rides to Kingston, Hampton Court , Richmond,etc would help to make the relationship work; if the lady has a dog, that would be welcomed. But a smoker would not!!
In summary, my ideal match would be fit and active in mind and body, romantic, no baggage that would prevent some time spent abroad, and sociable, but both of us being capable of enjoying one's own hobbies and friends when appropriate. And a bonus would be if she could dance the night away!!!!
