About her
I think my friends would describe me as full of energy and that I make the most of every day. Generally I tend to smile a lot. I tend to see the funny side of most challenges thrown in my path. Is it just me or are there many more challenges than there used to be?
I suppose my favourite interest is researching family, community and industrial history, especially for the village where I have lived for the last 25 years. If only it were possible to go back in time to see and maybe experience how people lived. My friends keep telling me to write a book but I think I would prefer to make my research available online.
My early life was spent in a suburb of London and whilst it was enjoyable back then I have no desire to live in a bustling town / city ever again. I much prefer village life and the countryside.
I enjoy studying wildlife and the vast variety of wildflowers and trees. I have a rather large garden and am surrounded by woodland and fields. I recently started to grow my own vegetables again after a break because deer and rabbits were eating everything I planted. I have just completed building a greenhouse in my garden and am hoping it will enable me to grow a greater variety of plants all year round.
I have always thought I would enjoy boating and having been taken out on a river and along the coast in the last year or so I decided to investigate the possibility of taking it up as an interest. It would seem fool hardy to go off in a boat on my own with my lack of experience so will not do that unless I have somebody to show me the ropes etc..
I have rejoined the National Trust and also have English Heritage membership. I intend working my way round many places to see in the next year or so. Somebody who would like to join me on a few visits would make the journey so much more fun.

I am looking for a man who would love to hold hands with me as the norm, be kind, considerate and who has a good sense of humour. Somebody who is interested in history, wildlife and walking would be great.
Maybe there is somebody out there who would like to take me out in a boat. That would be so good. I can swim but would prefer to be allowed to stay on board.
