About him
Hello, I’m Alex. I’m a 59-year-old Londoner, currently living in West Yorkshire, with a passion for all things classic - classic cars, classic films and of course classical music - my favourite composers are Mozart and Wagner.
I work hard at a very hands-on and interesting job running a special effects company in the film industry but when I’m not working I love to cook - am a great cook in fact, even if I do say so myself (but then you haven’t tasted my roasties). I’m a keen gardener, read extensively and have a 21-year-old daughter who I adore more than the sum of all creation.
Also love to build things - built my first working cannon aged 15 (for nothing more nefarious than to blast cricket balls into the Oval), enjoyed a very long bath in a fully working isolation tank I’d built aged 20 and have built more working gadgets and machines than there is space to name.
Beneath my occasionally slightly gruff exterior I’m actually a bit of a softie and I’d just love to meet someone to share wine and conversation with.
