About him
Presentable, reasonably well read, pretty fit and looking for similar in attractive female company. My own teeth, a fair bit of hair (though in truth it is thinning fast) and a young-ish, if largely traditional outlook on life. That said I do have a discreet tattoo. I quite like the paradox of my responsible exterior masking a bit of 'ink'.
I am just 70 (!) but on a good day could pass for 69. Phots are pretty recent, back-lit and not too close to the camera - the lines show I had a very hard paper round - and include a lock-down photo. (I used to look pretty cool unshaven and now when I venture out looking like this, strangers offer me their loose change!).
I enjoy the outdoors, 'trekking' (phot from 2019) and a bit of culture. Have travelled extensively and prepared for more though no 'bucket list'. Not really one for a long haul 'beach' holiday but enjoy a bit of sun at a boutique hotel with a pool.
At the risk of losing many of you, I do not ski (knees shot) or sail; play tennis (see above ref knees) or golf (not for me); play bridge or backgammon (no patience). I have recently dropped gym membership. No longer looked the Adonis I once did in Spandex and some old guy kept looking back at me from the mirrors. I work out at home and exercise outdoors.
Work focused for a lifetime, I retired four years ago. Since then I have seen out the pandemic and refurbished an old house which I have just sold and am now house hunting for something more modern.
I fear I am becoming a bit boring, as reading back my profile seems to suggest.
A bit old for this? I guess I am getting there but one never knows...and I can still rock a cardigan.
Oh …and I am equally comfortable in my wellies or high heels (well everyone else seems to say it) but I do not have an LBD.
Btw - I am told I 'have a good eye' but that is probably because I am blind in the other (No, honestly! Accident two years or so ago. I still drive). Other than that, everything else, though knocked about over the years, seems to work.

Fun, attractive, slim, well-spoken and grounded. (I was going to insert 'honest' and 'trustworthy' here but that implies previous damage. They are just traits I admire in people). Has an interest in the wider world. Feminine but does not mind getting her hands dirty. Not materialistic but appreciates quality. Kind with good core values and looks for similar in her man. Almost sure to have family commitments but is not a slave to them. If still 'driven' then admirable but I am not. If there is that elusive spark, happy to spend weekends together; away or at home. Up for a walk, holiday, the odd foray to gallery, theatre or film, country pub or beach. At times be content to just stroll, or sit and share a glass of something; or find something on the 'box', or just 'chill'. And if we could date, laugh at the same things and just see how it goes...…..
