Cos intuition tells me that I should heed the Bard's cautionary warning that, unless we get our rears into gear, the sixth age (i’m 65 ) will shift Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,with spectacles on nose and pouch on side; in other words, I’ll do what it takes to avoid becoming a track-suited couch-potato! That could mean involvement in one of ; walking , swimming, cycling, badminton and yoga. I’m hoping to try Tai Chi ....I’m open to most things, or try to be... ....
I'm tolerant, open-minded and non-controlling. Through ‘trial and error’ I’d say I’ve learned some basic emotional intelligence. I know the difference between envy and jealousy and try to avoid both. I'm a talker, not a sulker. I prefer playfulness and irreverence to sour-pussed seriousness. I try to be empathetic, social injustice I don't like. Reading, walking, cooking - but I'm no chef, the Arts - I'm a History graduate, are all good. I like most sports. Politically, I'd say I’m interested in a lower-case kinda way ...it was part of the background noise when I was growing up....leftish sympathies......I'm reasonably fit. I travel on my own but prefer to be with a companion. I'm hoping U enjoy listening to music......and actually do so now & again...I will like someone who views human failing in a forgiving light.....because no human performance can operate to perfection all the time and cos life at least offers a comic spectacle to a spectator with a SoH......though setbacks/falls are inevitable....they always seem to come as a surprise!....why not perhaps try surprising yourself and drop me a line....

Someone who can - and does - laugh at themselves and the world. I'm not looking to meet a clone, just someone with a mind of their own, someone interesting and open minded to the world would be good, a travel companion. .I'm not getting any younger, four years ago I came out of 6 year relationship....I'm content to live on my own especially if I have a female companion to enjoy the good things with.......like a walk/cycle in the summer sunshine...
