About her
I’m fairly young for my age, physically and mentally - I enjoy life and have a sense of humour. I am very active, semi retired but busy during my non work days with a number of activities, including a classroom assistant, participating in groups (art and walking variety) and cooking.
I enjoy most kinds of music, especially live in small venues and concerts. I am particularly keen on blues but have also been a life long Dylan/Stones/Baez/Quo fan.
I love cooking, for myself and friends, and meals out. I like to try new foods, especially when on holiday. I enjoy a visit to the pub, clothes and shopping, art (I’m not very good), walking, sunbathing, swimming, ski-ing, theatre, cinema, reading, history and historic buildings and antiques.
I like holidays in the sun, and the snow, weekends away, in cities, coast or country and I am a lover of France.
I have four beautiful grandchildren I am privileged to look after regularly and whose company I love. However, I also have a good social life separate from my family, which I feel is important.
I hope I am kind kind and helpful. I enjoy the company of friends but I am also quite independent and happy with my own company for some of the time. It would nice though to have someone to share some of my interests with and whose company I enjoyed.
I believe in hard work and hard play too. I think you should make the best of life and regardless of age you should try to keep as fit, active and 'young' at heart for as long as you can.

Someone:
I'd be interested in someone who is easy going and able to look on the bright side and enjoy life; who would be happy getting out and trying new interests as much as sitting home on the settee (although I can do that too).
He would need to be honest, solvent, funny, interesting, good company, caring and kind.
I would like to share meals out, visit nice pubs, go for nice walks or to concerts, the theatre, cinema etc; but also someone with his own interests which he may wish to share with me, or not.
I have been on my own now for nearly four years (widowed) and have rebuilt my life and am quite happy but there is a 'gap' sometimes.
