About him
Hi... no idea what to write here. I was caring for my late mom for last couple of years. My friends tell me I need to get back out there... seems a pretty terrifying prospect as I am 20 years out of practice! I suppose I'm looking for friendship to start with.. then see where things go.
I listen to Classic FM a lot (sometimes listen to Radio 4 but increasingly find politics irritating... must be my age) and they keep mentioning their dating site so here goes. My children are the most important thing in my life. I have three, boys 13, 16 and my daughter 19.. . I was a bit of a late starter. This is staring to sound like a rambling history lesson... that's one of the subjects I teach. I'm pretty easy going I think. Honest and kind. Honesty is very important to me. I work hard... perhaps a bit too hard but I am good at what I do. HOBBIES: I have an old sailing boat which keeps me sane and frustrated in equal amounts. I am in the process of trying to get fitter and I have completed the Couch to 5 K running program and go to the gym when I can. Also done a few 5K "Park runs" VERY slowly but its a start. This by necessity stopped with lockdown and I really need to get back into it and lose those "lockdown pounds". Just bought a motorbike... I know late mid-life crisis ...MUSIC: mostly classical but it depends what I am doing. In the gym (need to go more often) I tend to go for "soft rock" Bryan Adams etc. In my youth I was a bit of a Bryan Ferry fan.. If you don't know who he is then I am probably too old for you. My reading tastes are varied... escapist thrillers... I often listen to audio books on a long drive. My favourite book (and it really is) is Pride and Prejudice. I'm also partial to the odd bit of poetry...
Looking for romance but also mainly, to be honest, looking to do all those things I used to do; walking, cinema, meals out etc.
Would be nice to do them with someone special.

Written loads about myself and can't think what to write here. Just looking for someone who is kind, honest (honesty is a bit of a "thing" with me...) and fun to get to know and share experiences with. Would like to meet someone and see where things go.
