I know the 7 secrets of pleasing a man - interested? -
offering to make the coffee heads the list so don't get too excited. I'm busy and happy in my life but would love to share activities and travel with a partner. I am enjoying retirement and all the freedom that it has brought but it can be lonely. How much nicer to walk in the countryside and find a cosy corner in a welcoming pub with a companion than to be alone. I enjoy cooking but I would like to share the preparation and the results with someone who appreciates food and drink too. Retirement has given me the time to join U3A (music appreciation, walking, reading, curry group) and the local community choir. I also go to the gym for yoga and Pilates classes and walk because that's the best way to see places. I have also spent more time in the garden but it's not my forte - I'm more likely to repaint the decking than redesign a flower bed. I could also do with finding someone with a drill who knows how to use it - even though I could buy one and find out how myself!

This is the tricky part isn't it? I've written a fair few job descriptions in my working life but in work it's essential to have a match between role and person. In a relationship it's all about the personality match between the partners. So someone who is lively and with energy and ideas about what they want from life or at least the next few hours. Someone who is interested in people and is kind and genuine and what else....? I look forward to finding out.
