About him
They tell me I'm a funny guy who is great company. Which is nice. The day job is helping people understand about emotional intelligence, authenticity, integrity and authenticity. In business. Pick your metaphor for that particular role right now. I am semi-retired, working as a professor of leadership in a Business School.
I'd lie down in traffic for any of my three boys. Which is a hostage to fortune, as they all drive and have their own cars now. When in traffic, I used to be constantly on a motorcycle. I upgraded from horses when mounting from the ground in competitive riding got beyond me. Then in 2021 I had a brain haemorrhage on a motorbike and that didn't work out so well. No visible scars, but two titanium rods keep my spine in place, and my neck has damaged that can’t be fixed. Still, I proved the old Irish adage that it's hard to kill a bad thing. Nowadays, if you didn’t know you wouldn’t know.
I love films, TV, books and theatre when they are exploring the human condition. I adore intelligent conversation and clever wit.
There is no denying I have been around a bit. Years ago when God was still in short trousers, I went to Oxford and read English literature. I then spent 15 years in international advertising before spending the next 30 in management development and education. I’m widely travelled. My boys tell me I have lived three lives. Which is both good and bad. And yet here I am, still unbowed, still full of enthusiasm, optimism and an unquenchable belief in the power of loving relationships.

My personal values are emotional intelligence, authenticity, compassion, and purpose. Oh, and I really like horses, cats & dogs. I was born to live in the countryside. I'm Anglo-Irish. I spend a good deal of time in Ireland and have lived there for long stretches of time in the past. My family home is in the Southeast on the coast.
