About him
Widowed in June 2019, I have 4 adult step-children, but am now looking to find a new wife/life-partner to love and to cherish (preferably to have and to hold!) – and who would like to have children with me. A friendly, accommodating, scientifically-minded doctor of medicine, I try to be methodical but often end up being ruled by my heart!
I am an informal and forgiving Christian, Mensan and amateur pianist with all the usual interests/GSOH etc. My parents are dead (my father living to 87 years) and I have a brother and a sister (in Berkshire and London respectively).
I was born in Buckinghamshire and have spent much time there, but studied Medicine in Birmingham for 6 years and have spent the last 26 years based in Manchester (Ashton-u-Lyne, Waterloo). I have often worked away, including in Hertfordshire (where my 94 year old step-mother lives in Tring - an hour from London on the train!) and I've been working in Mansfield since January 2020.
Incidentally, I have been very touched by the profiles I have read on this website: they confirm to me that we are all have similar wants and needs (and, I suspect, fears). I believe our best hope is to talk openly and honestly with each other - and send good wishes to you all (especially for Christmas!).
