About her
I'm fun and I play lots of instruments. My main three are cello, piano, and classical accordion. (I know. I'm a geek among geeks.)
I'm also a good dancer and used to dance professionally (belly dance.) Now I teach music for a living and write fiction on the side. I'm working on a novel about Vivaldi's music school.
Although I can write a good love story, I don't really understand how romance is supposed to go in real life. I believe in duets, though, so if you're in the area and you want to play music together, I'd be up for that.
About her ideal match
I could use a partner in crime to sit around and laugh with, someone who can imagine ridiculous scenarios with me. I lack a certain reserve: I'll laugh until I'm rolling on the floor. This might be because I'm American, although I don't plan to move back there. The people I've met here in Scotland have my heart.
I'm only looking to play duets with a friend right now, but lockdown has sharpened up my music skills, so you can count on me to be engaged in the music and to hear specific things in it if you need me to. I'm also happy to play continuo for you if you want to bliss out on some of the more complex Baroque pieces. Just being in the middle of the sound is enough for me.
I'd be happy to cook for you when we're done playing music. I'm a good cook and I like to make dishes that fit into special diets. If this sounds like fun and you're up in the Inverness area, please contact me.
I'm not up for debates or for discussing politics. I know this sounds really privileged, but I've got all I can manage dealing with my different brain and being solid for my students and my kids. Having ADHD makes me fun and enhances how I experience music, but it also means that I can be easily overwhelmed. I have to work hard to put out fires and not to create more for myself.
So when I'm with another person, I need to rest. I'd love to meet someone who cares about the lives of composers and who believes that life is slightly magical.
