About her
I'm a pretty positive person, interested in a whole load of things, from history to philosophy to reading good fiction when I can find it. I love to travel – don't we all – and have spent a fair chunk of my life living and working abroad. I've been in Tuscany for 25 years now but have also lived in Qatar, Cyprus and Malaysia and the Philippines. Worked as a journalist for many years (was a magazine editor in London) and have written and published 36 romance novels. I love animals. I love beauty and music, mainly classical, though I used to be a big Bruce Springsteen fan. I have a good sense of humour and try not to take myself too seriously.
I still work, writing romances and doing English editing. I go for a long walk every day with my dog, which I couldn't do without. He helps keep me fit.

I would love to meet someone who could introduce me to new stuff – ideas, music, art, literature, whatever. Someone with a brain who knows how to use it, thinks for himself and isn't afraid not to follow the crowd. A sense of humour is essential. Someone basically kind. I hate posers and self-righteous types.
I would also like someone who is as curious about the world as I am, and keen to explore it. I'm aware that there are still so many places I haven't visited and it would be wonderful to have someone to go with. Basically, what I'm looking for is someone to share things with.
