I'm a kind, happy, energetic, intelligent, positive person looking for a best friend, soul mate and lover. I remain ever optimistic that I'll find my last date and the person to grow old happily with.
I'm semi-retired with my own business, I enjoy being outside, cycling or walks on the beach or in the forest/countryside. I love being on or near the water. I grew up in mid-Wiltshire so I'm used to space and not very good with cities. I prefer a good traditional pub to a restaurant and muddy puddles and tracks to roads.
I very rarely wear make-up and can get out of the house pretty quickly if required! I'm not materialistic and prefer quality to quantity.
I love to muck in and will help anyone if I can. I've got a very can-do attitude, even if sometimes I can't, I'll always give it a try! I'm also pretty practical, I own a drill, can change taps and put up blinds! Although happy to delegate and do something I'm better at, so don't be intimidated!
I prefer an early morning and an early night, evenings in by the wood burner, and reading to TV. Currently reading "The Art of Happiness: A handbook for living" by the Dalai Lama. I find it fascinating but more than happy to be challenged, on anything, and discuss.
I have 3 grandchildren who I see often and adore, but I also like my own space and time. Good, healthy food is very important to me but I have a sweet tooth and love a cake or a cream tea.
Emotions, finances, family, work/life balance, all seem to be sorted, I just need that special someone to complete the picture. I'd love to walk along the street or beach holding hands and in step with someone over the age of 8! Life is so much better shared.

Above all I want to find that person who makes my heart skip a beat every time I see them, then we both break into a smile and a hug. Someone who's as glad to see me as I am them. Yes, I'm a romantic, but is this really too much to ask?
