About him
I love Scotland, where my son lives, but equally I love Norfolk, where I was raised.
Trying to simplify my life by roaming in a big camper (or boat!) (after finishing my home within a month or so) around Britain and Europe, but in the Southern Hemisphere in some of our winters.
Music nights every week, house improvements, boats and my favourite music festival in Northumberland every year can hamper progress!
My photos are all taken within the past 5 years, mainly from last summer, especially those in the green canoe, the yellow kayak, and at Henley.
Warm and gentle (mostly) but can sometimes be brutally honest, old fashioned, tactile hugger, missing companionship and cuddles. Some adventures still to be had, after disposing/renting of beach shack as I need a clean break.
Already had some taste of this beautiful planet, that’s just wetted my appetite. Walking, paddling, boating, snorkelling, biking, cooking outside and in. Large enough family to visit at home and abroad, and friends too, but happier in the sun.
So I’ve been forced into reorganising myself, and I’m no good at it for some reason, and it’s probably due to being a bloke!

Living in a party house on a beach as I do now, is ok when you can have parties, but not much fun alone, even if it can be romantic at times. Sunrises and sunsets can be wonderful here, especially from a kayak on a still morning, but so much nicer to come home to a warm cosy fire, and cooked breakfast, with fresh coffee!
The Humber mouth, where I live now, is marked by two forts built in 1918 to defend against the Germans, and the original shore based watchmans hut was built in my garden, and still remains today. From its roof I can see the sea a few yards away, and the forts beyond the sea defences, to where the ashes of loved ones lie, and to where I have felt tied for some time, but from which I now feel free to move away, for the right person.......

Must be adventurous but not crazy, fit but not manically, empathic and sweet, but also strong enough to say no occasionally. Enjoy wilderness, not cities.
