Hello there. Still looking for Mr Right in 2020, so here's a bit about me: I work for myself as an editorial freelancer, mainly for Oxford University Press in both their Academic and English Language Teaching divisions. I suppose I am fairly ambitious about my work these days but I’d like to think there’s more to life than work...
I have a very varied group of friends, but alas, I still haven’t yet met that special someone that I really ‘click with’. I think I have a lot to offer the right person: I’m kind, ladylike, intelligent, articulate, loyal, and generally positive with a sense of humour that tends towards the witty and silly. Would love to find someone who genuinely shares some of my interests (see below) and has a similar outlook.

I'm looking for a genuinely nice, decent guy with some smarts, who is university educated and well-mannered. I find boyish and literary attractive qualities. Someone easy to talk to and with a relatable sense of humour; nothing too loud or crass. And you simply must agree that books and lots of them are essential to life! No ifs, no buts on that one!
Friendship would initially be my main aim and hopefully we could do some activities together as mutual interests (going to the theatre, to concerts, NT properties etc.). If romance develops or there is obvious chemistry that would be wonderful, but I'm keeping my expectations modest in all honesty. I've had a lot of romantic disappointments and at this stage just finding a friend with compatible interests and values would be a special thing in itself.
PS. Tattoos or anything 'alternative' really isn't my scene, sorry.
