I like being outdoors, staying in, trying new stuff and doing nothing.
I enjoy food (love a bacon sarnie) but not cooking, having interesting discussions but not arguing, feeling fit but not exercising.
I like singing in the shower, drinking good red wine and hanging out with my cat.
I’m an old romantic who like bed picnics, long walks and heartfelt conversations. I also enjoy playing board games, Scrabble and Lego with the smaller people in my life (when they let me).

Despite a long-standing delusional belief that I can make and do anything, I very much dislike solo DIY. So if you’re handy with a Mikita and a spirit level, you’re in.
I try to remember to take time to stop, smell the roses, take in the odd bit of culture (high- and low-brow), and indulge in a spot of crafting.
The best things I have done in life are travelling (not enough in recent years - would really like to share some overseas adventures with someone special) and becoming an auntie to two sometimes delightful smaller people (obviously that wasn’t so much done by me as simply happening to me, but I’m glad it has).

A kind, honest, open sort of bloke who enjoys his own life but would like to spend some of his time with a fairly well-balanced girl. Someone who is caring and respectful of those around him, and who is happy to join me in being very cross with world leaders and quite smug about our shared love of political satire. It would be lovely to meet someone who enjoys similar things to me, but also can introduce me to new things (except Celtic jazz fusion or road kill cuisine). Also, not possessing too much facial hair is a definite bonus in my eyes....
