About her
My friends tell me I'm fun to be with, a good listener when they want to talk and a good talker when they want to listen. I’ve got a butterfly brain in the best sense and love a good conversation about almost anything. I'm a pragmatist, honest and open-minded, positive and optimistic about life, despite having hit a few bumps in the road along the way.
I've travelled quite a bit, have had a varied career and have enjoyed living and working in four European countries. There are still lots of places I'd like to visit in the UK and further afield. Beach holidays are not my thing, but I love city breaks or holidays in beautiful scenery miles from anywhere.
My two lovely daughters are in their 20s and largely off my hands, though we see each other frequently. I work part-time as a translator, and over the next couple of years want to reduce my working hours further and spend more time on the fun things in life.
I love being outdoors, but I'm not sporty. I unwind by pottering in my small town garden, going on country walks or spending Sunday afternoons at National Trust properties. I’m interested in psychology, architecture and design, enjoy a wide variety of music, cinema, visiting art galleries and museums, and just about anything to do with food.
