About him
I am a master mariner and was a chief navigating/cargo officer in merchant ships, and saw quite a lot of sea and something of the port of the world. I was then a marine consultant ashore working out of an office in Liverpool and traveling worldwide to visit merchant ships. Having worked hard in my chosen profession (but now retired) and having seen a bit of the world, gardening and DIY (which I am quite good at) seem a bit tame. So I need a go-for-it, young-at-heart companion to enjoy life with. To take in a few concerts and gigs, to walk in the countryside or to travel around the world stopping off here and there to see the sights, to watch a movie on telly or to just chill out, whatever takes our fancy. There is plenty of time left so why not? Just some thoughts.

I am listening to Joe Cocker as I write. But I listen to Classic FM, Jazz, Santana and just about everything in between.
I live near Chester now, but grew up in the south east of England.

Generally, she should match me, in a female way! She should be out-going but not over the top, want to enjoy life and want to do exciting things with a nice guy - i.e. me. Honesty is of course important, but so too is the need to love and to be loved in return.
