I love learning from others & have a lot of stories to tell as am sure you do too. I love nature, art, reading,writing, teaching, walking, running & travelling to obscure places that are off the regular tourist trail and learning about bygone days. I like science too! & pondering on the bigger picture & looking for patterns & symmetry. Spend a lot of time in the right side of my brain, but can do left side too!
I am looking for that elusive man who is humble, kind, yet strong - decisive & doesn't dilly dally around. A man with balls.I like direct people & that person would have to be caring, empathetic, a good listener and put others before himself. One thing I cannot bear is arrogance. Plus, I would rather eat with paupers on the street than dine with millionaires any day of the week. Wealth of the heart is what impresses me, certainly not wealth of the other material & financial form.
To put it in a nutshell, in my job as a language support teacher, which I adore btw, I spend a lot of time adapting resources to enable lower literacy level learners & EAL pupils to access them. If you know 'Of Mice & Men' you will know Slim. People have said that I am like a female Slim, which I take as a great compliment and I guess that is what I am seeking in a partner if it is meant for me to have one - a 'Slim' of the male variety. Sian is easily one of my favourite people in the world. After fifteen years of friendship she still surprises me with things she says, jokes and her take on the world. Sian is a genuinely beautiful person inside and out. Although Sian is petite and can be reserved, she is a strong, intelligent woman with a fantastic sense of humour and a kind generous heart. She is very creative and truly at home when close to nature. Sian has lots of brilliant stories to tell from her travels, her job and her life but is also a wonderful listener. We met when I was a newly qualified supply teacher and she was the only person to ever offer me a lift on my long walk home. I remember she had a bright coloured sticker from her trip to Australia on her dashboard and that sparked a conversation, and friendship, as we discussed travel, dreams, work, politics and everything in between.
