About her
I grew up with classical musicians. I’ve played violin and cello, and I still play cello with a local community orchestra. Music has always been a part of my life, and an integral part of knowing me. While I love and appreciate classical music, I also enjoy almost every genre of music out there and my playlist reflects that. I love concerts.
I am divorced. I have 3 unique, creative, intelligent, individualistic kids in 6th, 8th, & 10th grades. I work full time and appreciate the flexibility my job provides. It’s not my life’s passion, but I appreciate what it gives me.
I have been fortunate to do some traveling in my life, and I have a million more places I want to go. As a kid, I traveled all over the Eastern US and into Canada a few times. In high school, I was able to go to Belgium, France, England, and Scotland with the school music department and perform in churches and cathedrals. As an adult, I’ve been to Italy and Mexico. I went to California for the first time just last year, and really enjoyed it. I want to experience more of the world and would love to do it with someone as excited to go to new places or revisit places as I am.
I love museums, historic sites, concerts, local festivals, walking by the river, forest preserves, trails through the woods, weightlifting, hiking, going to movies, reading books, watching Netflix, campfires, and finding amazing restaurants. Sports are fun, but they are not life. Most weekends I’m either meeting a couple of good friends or watching movies. I’m at a point where I’m realizing having memorable experiences is more important than owning lots of material things.
I enjoy cooking and I’ve been told I know my way around a kitchen quite well, but I do not like cooking all the time. I love cooking with someone that enjoys great food as much as I do. I also enjoy great beer. I love stouts and porters.
