About him
I am considered to be an honest man, who is easy going by nature and appreciates qualities of all kinds in all people and does not judge others easily. I am a realist but with principles and imagination hence occasionally attempting to write doggerel and a long term project attempting to write a book.
I am and always have been a bit of an adventure seeker having grown up climbing trees followed by rock climbing clubs culminating in scaling Everest - sadly not to the summit - due to a medical emergency when on the mountain. However, I did manage to reach 23,000 feet to collect rubbish!. 18 years ago I sailed my brothers sloop single handed across the giant pond......and yes I will never do that again...wounds tell their own story!!
Nowadays, I may not be as adventurous as I once was but I still adore getting out and about in our wonderful countryside to breathe clean air (well it is cleaner than it was right now!) listen to the sounds (again the countryside is quieter than it has been) and walk for miles taking in the wonders of "biosphere 1" which provides us with the opportunity for life.
I try to maintain a positive outlook on life and remain an eternal optimist who grabs opportunities. As they say...... "life's a short journey and not a trial run" .........
I try not to dwell on sadness but it is those things which deserve reflecting upon that make me sad like loosing someone close.
