About him
Aspiring pianist (mostly Bach), retired physicist, teacher and investor. Enjoy music and the thinking world and find myself involved in studying music - performance, theory, and history, history of anything, literature ,philosophy, international politics and government and, yes, physics and math. Love to read and write and don't have a TV. Really love a great conversation about something or nothing in particular. I'm very social, but very comfortable by myself doing what I love. I go to lots of concerts in Boston - BSO (love those rush tickets), NEC, Boston Baroque, Handel and Hayden, etc. Oh, and I really, really enjoy good food and drink, and I'm a pretty darn good cook, if I do say so myself.
I have to confess that in my pursuit of Bach and other baroque, I've ended up with a grand piano, a great digital piano, a harpsichord and a 32 pedal, 2 manual Hammond church organ along with miscellaneous other instruments - and I can play them.
Politics, you ask? I stay very informed - read a bunch of papers daily, Foreign Affairs, The Atlantic, etc. - and have my own analysis and opinions that I try to keep both objective and informed with an historical perspective. I'm also very involved helping out those in need in various capacities.

I seem to get along well with intelligent, intellectually oriented and involved people who appreciate the finer things in life. Of course interest and involvement in music is great. In reality, compatibility seems to be hard to describe, but we know it when we meet it. And I love a good adventure including learning about another's life, accomplishments and interests.
