About her
I am cheerful, determined to live every day to the full and have a very wide variety of interests, especially walking in hills or elsewhere, travelling which has been curtailed recently, attending concerts, usually though not always classical, and theatre. I read a lot and am liberal and very much someone who has a world view. I play the piano almost daily though less well than I would like.
During lockdown I have worked hard on my garden and am now enjoying the fruits of my labour. My sweet peas are currently magnificent!
Favourite places are many and varied - the Lake Distruct, Isle of Arran, Dorset and Devon coast, Italy, India and many more. I have connections with a charity working in Southern Uganda and have been over there twice in the last 3 years. I get enormous pleasure from music - it is a fairly constant companion at home and I listen to Radio 3 and 4 a lot. I am missing live music and theatre but have survived lockdown by getting out every day - how beautiful this spring and early summer was - great pleasure from the birds on my feeders and their song down the local lanes. Surely the sky was never this blue?
I am definitely a glass half-full person and I appreciate every day.
Photos are all taken in last 6 weeks apart from the one up an Austrian mountain which I climbed last summer on a very hot day.
I am independent and resilient, having been widowed a long time ago. I have had to be but I would love to share more of the things I enjoy with a like minded soul.
