About her
My friends would describe me as compassionate, kind, resilient and determined (or maybe that's just how I'd like them to think of me). After 11 years of teaching English in Moscow I am back in London and on a new career path. I have returned to further education and am training to join the medical profession. It is the fulfilment of a long desired goal, one that I finally plucked up the courage to persue. I find myself at a stage where I love my life but an interesting and loving partner would complete the picture.
I like good conservation and I'm looking for a man who is well-read, interested in ideas and treats this as the stuff of life. My friends are generally people I can learn from. I like people to be well-informed in order to counter my terrible habit of conjuring up unsubstantiated statistics. I'm less concerned about political alignment. Sitting slightly left of centre I am attracted to conservative-minded men. A good head, kind heart, generosity, a great capacity for love, and an ability not to take oneself too seriously, are more important. I'm less politically active than I'd like to be and my activity these days is confined to letter writing. In the past year I have written to numerous MPs, the Queen and senior members of the CoE about various issues. I like people who are ready to translate their beliefs into action.
Hobbies- Russia and the Russian language. I'm considering a new language in the autumn.
Fitness- bikram yoga, once everything gets back to normal. I'm very 'all or nothing' with exercise which means extreme daily dedication in the past has been replaced by nothing in lockdown, much to my shame. In sport, as in language learning, I enjoy the process far less than the satisfaction of the result- and this, generally, is what keeps me striving in life.

My ideal man is compassionate and courageous and leads through example. I'm looking for a partner who has his own interests and a busy and active life - and is ready to include me in it. I like a man who works hard, takes care of himself and will make an effort.
I'm looking for a partner who is socially engaged and has greater cares than just his own immediate, material benefit.
I like men to be gentlemanly, and my years in Moscow taught me that I quite like to be taken care of. I remain a good feminist, of course.
If you have children already, I would like your relationship with the mum to be a good one, or as good as it can be. I'd like to be a good step-mum.
