About him
I'm not the much sought after rich retired bloke with whom to sail into a lyrical sunset of endless luxury travel, fine dining, theatre, concerts, golf and the social merry go round.
I've been there, left it all behind, and invested everything I have instead in software development to crack a multi £billion problem. Not so much for the money, but for the challenge of making a positive difference and keeping my brain working right to the end. That's what entrepreneurs do.
So, my self-imposed lifestyle is simple, living and hillwalking in glorious North Yorks Moors National Park from a modest rented house in a delightful courtyard off the Market Square with lovely neighbours and decent car. I'm solvent but not particularly cash or tangible asset rich, which I'm fine with as an entrepreneur, but most ladies aren't, hence my plain speaking upfront.
I play light classical music, opera, chorals, read the FT, engage in intelligent debate with friends and foes, drink a third of a bottle of Shiraz daily and prepare home-made simple food. Other than that, I'm Zooming with accountants all over UK daily, teaching them to use my business problem-solving technology. And learning and loving watching it all develop and grow. I also muck in with local town volunteering and at York Rotary Club.
I voted Brexit for reasons of control and always Conservative because capitalism is the only route to national wealth. The other Parties only know how spend till it's gone, not understanding or respecting how the stuff is made. These personal revelations usually scare off any remaining ladies.
I miss a good woman in my life, especially if she is or has been a like-minded entrepreneur or can at least understand one. And if she misses a good man...I’ll explore that if she will?
About his ideal match
I'm looking for a slim, fit woman who knows how to earn success by her own endeavours. She should be imaginative, passionate, feet on the ground and not at all 'woke'. The main requirements are: a good brain; business experience; wide interests, and a zest for life. Yorkshire-based would be good. I'm not at all influenced by race, religion, colour, it's the inner person who matters, someone with a sense of adventure and well-developed humour who is verbally fluent and a match for me argumentatively! And enjoyment of physical closeness matters...
