About her
My friends would say I am warm, affectionate and vivacious but I can also be quite happy in my own company - reading or taking long walks in the countryside with my dogs. I am a good listener, thoughtful, usually kind, easy going and believe in being considerate and trying to understand the other persons perspective - even if I don't agree with it.
I can get very passionate about injustice, a bit too interested in current affairs and am currently in need of some serious distraction from the state of the world!! My usual escapes are gardening, listening to music, my taste stretches through Classical particularly baroque, to Bowie, Dire Straits and on to Mumford and Sons; I would like to go to more live music events whether in the local pub a festival or the South Bank.
I love long lunches with friends and appreciate intelligent conversation, putting the world to rights as well as having a good laugh together. I enjoy visiting National Trust properties and RH gardens and love walking/hiking in the countryside or on the local beaches, which in Essex consist of mudflats which whilst not exactly the Aegean, have a quirky, almost other worldly beauty - think The Essex Serpent. I visited the Lake district for the first time following lock down when going abroad was all but impossible and absolutely loved it, France has been my 'go to' but I would also like to see more of Europe and travel more widely afield.
As everyone says - this is so much more enjoyable and meaningful when shared with someone special, whether days out and holidays or sitting in the garden at the end of the day sharing a meal, a glass of wine and mulling over the day. So if you are at all interested in walking the Wainwrights (I have done a grand total of four) or just sharing some of the journey then do get in touch.

I would like to meet someone who is kind and easy going, enjoys lively conversation and who can also be comfortable just being quiet together. Someone who can be reflective about themselves and others, who has experienced the hard times as well as the good and has retained a sense of fun and curiosity about the world we live in. It would be good to share some interests although I would also to like to learn about and explore new interests, so this is not a prerequisite. It probably is a prerequisite that you like dogs and I suspect that if politically you lean strongly to the Brexity Right we will disagree more than we agree.
