I am a friendly, outgoing person with a gosh. I enjoy easy conversation and banter - laughter really is the best medicine and should be taken liberally on a daily basis!
I was widowed in 2015 after 42 years of happy marriage and the subsequent years have been about acceptance and setting out on a new path for the next phase of my life. I enjoy good health and physical activity and aim to do so for as long as possible. These days I’m more of a walker than a runner and enjoy Pilates more than the gym but keeping active and eating healthily are a big part of who I am and how I live my life.
Although I don’t own a dog I’m a sucker for them and thoroughly enjoy being around them, especially on walks.
Relaxing with a good book or some worthwhile tv programmes, being part of a local pub quiz team and a local choir and listening to a wide variety of music genres are my favourite pastimes. Attending cinema, concerts and live theatre events, sporting events and sunshine holidays are high on the list too.
I enjoy comfort and security in my day to day life and have many good friends and a loving family..... but.....there is a piece of the jigsaw missing for me which is someone to share life’s simple pleasures with and to make new memories with. Finding new activities and having fun with a partner would be so welcome after too long being solo.
Put simply I’m seeking the presence of another loving heartbeat close by.... a partner, best friend, lover and soul-mate.
