Kind, well-educated, sociable, an animal-lover. I’m sporty so a couch potato probably wouldn’t suit. I’m a keen gardener, striving to support as much wildlife as possible through my efforts while the rest of the world seems hell-bent on destroying it.
I also love playing tennis and enjoy board games as I’m pretty competitive. I love live theatre too. Fashionable and reasonably stylish, I’m interested in fashion but not a slave to it. I also have a keen interest in houses and interior design.
I love to travel, seeing other cultures. In the last few years I’ve been to Costa Rica, Myanmar, Borneo and Sri Lanka but there are so many places still on my bucket list. I have been known to take myself off to European cities alone, although obviously a fellow traveller would have been much more fun but I’m not prepared to look back in old age wishing I’d been brave enough to do it.
I’m very soft-hearted and kind, often ruled by my emotions but can also be feisty, courtesy of my lovely mum who is no longer with us. I’m very family-orientated and adore my grandchildren.
I currently live in the Midlands, but, with family based in Surrey and Somerset, a move nearer family at some point would not be out of the question.
I’ve not had any success with online dating so far but, as for many people, lockdown has really highlighted how lonely living alone can be so I’m giving it one last try. How hard can it be..?!
