About him
I am a happy and well-adjusted person who leads an active life and who takes care of himself. I have been separated from my wife amicably for more than 6 years and she has now returned to live and work in her home country of Canada. I am reasonably outgoing and I’m interested in people and in their stories, so a phone conversation or a chat over coffee is a pleasure for me. I think I am sensitive and warm with an ability to give and receive much love and it is this exchange of warmth and intimacy that I miss most in my life. I have 3 grown up children and 2 grandchildren with whom I have wonderful relationships and my family means a great deal to me. I work part time as a professional musician and music examiner (having been an orchestral player for many years) and I have had much to do with the creative arts in general throughout my life. My interests reflect this. I am a fan of both radios 3 and radio 4! I also have a great interest in walking and I am an active member of the Ramblers Association. My adult son and I walk the long distance trails together every year.
I have been learning German for a number of years and I go to Germany every year to practise this and to enjoy the wonderful music and culture of that country. I enjoy cooking and healthy eating as well as good beer and wine, in moderation. I also enjoy the cinema, theatre and of course concerts and I am looking forward hugely to their return this season.
My work has taken me abroad frequently (though now it is on hold), and it would be lovely to share some of these trips with a partner and soulmate.
I am very concerned about the state of our world and my politics are decidedly to the left, though with a strongly green tinge. However, I can still find much to laugh about and I think that a couple who can share laughter is a happy and healthy one. I seek the companionship of a kind and gentle woman who finds that, perhaps, some of this chimes. I hope that person is you.
