I’m looking for companionship and someone to travel with - especially within Europe. Respect, kindness and fun would be high on my list ( in both directions), but I’m open-minded about other characteristics.

Claire is one of my favourite people. We have been friends for decades, through thick and thin. Her loyalty to her friends and family is one of her most admirable traits. She is also very talented in many areas, musically, in business and is a great companion for an evening - with (or without) a few glasses of wine, we are never short of things to discuss, both serious and sometimes hilariously light-hearted. On a trip to Rome together, I was impressed both by her command of Italian and her stamina. We walked everywhere and saw as much as was possible to fit into a long weekend. Her background in Classics made for a very rewarding visit. I learnt a lot. I think this is one of the things I value most about Claire: she carries her extensive knowledge of many things very lightly and is generous in sharing it, along with being very insightful about people. This is a great advantage in her work and in life in general. Anyone lucky enough to become a close friend of Claire will undoubtedly be a very special person with much to look forward to in getting to know her well.
