I am a positive person , fairly confident and look on the bright side of things. I try not to take life too seriously and have managed to satisfy most of my ambitions in my working life. This has been interesting, challenging and sometimes exciting . I am now happy and contented in retiral. We are all ageing, getting a few more wrinkles every year, a few more aches and hoping to put off the advancing years for as long as possible. So, we have to keep active in mind and body. I like to keep myself reasonable fit. I was a very keen hill walker until recently. I have now moved onto an electric bike. So I can still enjoy being out in the countryside. I have also skied most years and would like to keep that going for as long as I can. I have always had an interest in Antiques and have a good knowledge of certain disciplines. I also enjoy visiting Country Houses , Museums and Art galleries. My taste in music is Classical and particularly keen on Opera. I have lived in many parts of the UK and lived in Switzerland from 2010 to 2016. I really enjoyed the mountains, lakes and generally beautiful countryside. The type of holidays I prefer are ones where I can travel by car and have the freedom that gives. I prefer private hotels with good food rather than huge hotels situated on a beach with poor food. I am not keen on lying by pools but prefer exploring the countryside and cities.

It would be good to meet someone with a similar outlook on life. Someone who wants to continue being active. I would like to meet someone I can respect, relax with and whose company I would enjoy. Someone who is retired with time and freedom to enjoy new experiences together.
