About her
I'm a cosmopolitan, cultivated and quite a romantic single woman who is ready for a new start. As for the external bit, I'm (often told) I'm attractive and very young looking for my age. I'm definitely young in lifestyle and outlook. My good friends would say I'm kind, generous, both fun and serious, dependeable, tidy and sometimes potentially a little neurotic :). I do have a serious (deep ?) side to my personality, which can be a bonus and a bummer. Unexpectedly, this is partly a consequence of life having been challenging at times, and partly because of my line of work in mental health over the last 20 years. On a jollier note, I have had various other careers, namely in "stewardessing" (in my early 20s), marketing and translating. Before arriving in the UK in 1989 I lived in Spain and Denmark. I grew up in Sweden but my mother was Icelandic so I lived there too for a short while. So, I speak various other languages and have a broad interest in the world outside of as well as inside the UK. I'm no expert, but generally try to keep up with the the issues around the environment and politics. Politically I'm roughly centre left, but I'm open to other views as long as they are not extreme. As a northern European, with deep connections to Spain, I'm a die hard Remainer. As for my interests, I love film, the arts, nature, good food and wine and definitely good champagne on special occasions both at home and occasionally out too. I love cats (have one) and well behaved dogs (ex dog owner). I believe exercising is important for mental and physical health, but again I'm not extreme. Finally, I have plenty of friends, both near and far away, so I'm not looking for somebody to fill an existential void. Rather I'm hoping to find somebody fairly like minded with whom to have a fun and romance with, but with whom I can also share the ups and downs of life with in solid friendship.

I'm hoping to meet you, a man who is fairly like minded, who considers yourself relatively urban and well travelled. If you are British born for you have either lived or worked abroad. If you know and have links with Scandinavia or Iceland that would be a bonus.
