About her
How do people describe me? Eccentric and it's variants are usually the first words, closely followed by kind and generous.
Don't expect a domestic goddess, my cooking skills were never that great to begin with and I tend to get too distracted to be excited by mundane household chores.
I am passionate about the arts and will always go the extra mile for those I love. I frequently use my creative skills to help others. This includes those in any community I find myself in and those who have a social disadvantage.
I write, I paint, I sing, I act and occasionally teach. I have two hyperactive children - one now a confirmed teenager and all the joy that brings. I admit I get stressed very easily.
I have an eclectic taste in music and an unusual singing range.
My best friend is my cat - who follows me everywhere. I have been known to help many others achieve their goals and dreams. I'm a Terry Pratchett fan - nothing can ever change this.
Thanks to covid-19, my health has been compromised, so very long walks over the Moors might not be something I can do anymore. It is also impacting on some of the work I do. I appreciate good scenery though, even if climbing up hills is quite a challenge. I also have a love of history and cinema. That I love all the art forms goes without saying (look at my job description).
I believe the cover of a book does not show it's true story and appreciate those who may not exactly conform to what a society dictates. So long as someone has a good, kind heart - what does it matter where they came from. Life is a journey - not a destination.
About her ideal match
I would like somebody who is creative, ideally a musician, even if they are not a professional artist. Don't expect me to always be the sensible one (in fact if my partner could take care of the 'sensible' stuff I would appreciate it) . I thoroughly enjoy watching creativity in progress and these have often been the most precious moments in all my interactions with others. Sharing and brainstorming creative activities is when I guarantee you will see me at my best. Someone who can let me fly and still provide an anchor to the ground would be ideal. I will not force someone to change to suit whatever 'ideal' is passing my mind and I would appreciate the same courtesy in return. Do not force me to fit in a box of 'perfection' because you will be disappointed. I do not expect my partner to be 'perfect' either. Partner is the key word.
A bit political here - but I voted Remain in the EU referendum and I think I would seriously have problems with someone who happily voted Leave regardless of their other attributes. Someone who appreciates and can be positively inspired by other cultures is essential. Hope you can cook too - because I can't. I will wash the dishes though. I could do with someone who can drive too (I can't) as I miss my regular trip to the moors.
Metaphorically I tend not to follow the path most worn, although someone with a 'normal' job, 'normal' lifestyle will help keep me grounded. You have to support my random acts of creativity or it simply will not work. Good luck - you'll need it.
I have two children - although unexpected - they do come first, along with the cat. They will ultimately decide what happens.
