About her
After over thirty years of living in the wonderful city of Liverpool, I've now relocated back to home territory in the South, ready to embark on the next phase of life in a new permanent home - wherever that may be, and whatever it may bring.
I have a very optimistic outlook, and am generally a loving, warm, resilient, empathic, resourceful, and independent person. I have a deep love of nature, the outdoors, and wild places (especially coast and mountains).
I've travelled far and wide, spent short periods living abroad, and have had adventures in far flung places. I love the stimulation of other cultures/languages, and especially enjoy being on the Med, or anywhere warm!
Self-awareness and emotional intelligence matter to me; I'm romantic, but also humerous, with a ready laugh. I'm a free thinker who loves interesting conversation and debate about life's peculiarities and complexities.

I'm a recently retired NHS Professional. Interests and activities include reading, books, music, singing, yoga, meditation, the Arts/culture, music, writing, and practical skills (gardening, fixing and mending etc). My regular voluntary work is important to me too.
Occasionally I do something a bit off beam, such as taking myself off to live in France for a few months - just because I can.
Spending time with family family and friends is high on my list of priorities, and in general I tend to prefer small gatherings to large ones - but do love the fun and energy of a big celebration or live event from time to time.
I'm somewhat unconventional/ quirky, independent minded, and passionate about the things I value. Friends descrie me as having a wise take on life. But like all of us, I am a flawed human being.
I'm lucky enough to have two wonderful adult children.
My heart and mind are open to new people, new places, new experiences and a new relationship.

My mind is open to all possibilities. But qualities that I value include a strong tendency to see the positives in life and in other people, enjoying being outdoors in nature, humour, kindness, warmth, enjoyment of intelligent conversation, open-mindedness, creativity, being comfortable to express and share emotions, and to debate and disagree without rancour.
Someone who understands the value of time spent star-gazing with a loved one, and who enjoys the journey as much as the destination.......
You would likley share an interest in at least some of the same things as me, but I would also love to learn what your passions are, and to explore and discover new activities and experiences together. Shared values would be at the heart of things.
Maybe you're lucky enough to live in a beautiful part of the world (especially at or near the coast) and to have an animal or two.
Other great bonuses would be if you can cook, have a gorgeous dog, are creative, and take pleasure in fixing and mending things.
I'm reluctant to specify deal breakers, but if you're a heavy drinker, addicted to red meat, wedded to a large non-negotiable beard, or voted Brexit, we're unlikely to get beyond the starting post!
