Recently moved into a new flat and looking for work, my work background is in public sector - office work mostly, though I did a spell in disease control for DEFRA.
Like to cook and not afraid to do the housework.
I have no kids of my own but I'm still close to my former partner's daughter. I was her Dad for a few years and she still thinks of me that way.
I like the quiet life but enjoy a few hours in the pub and the occasional meal out.
I write alot, have had something published but its mostly for my own enjoyment. I'm involved in local politics and voluntary work, so I'm sometimes busy in the evenings.
Love to read, too - mostly non-fiction - and like to watch a good film. I am discovering the joys of Netflix (other providers are available!).
Am really enjoying Star Trek: Discovery and need to catch up with Star Trek: Picard. Love Peaky Blinders, too. Last film I saw was "Army of the Dead."

I don't really believe in the ideal person. They don't exist. And if you start to list things you find unacceptable in a potential partner it can start sounding a bit transactional. :)
Like most people I'm attracted to people who are patient, kind and honest. But, given what I spend my spare time doing, I suppose those who are annoyed by 'political' people should stay away.
