About her
I am a widow in my 70's, with an adventurous spirit but a reserved personality until I know people better. I enjoy an almost daily walk in the country park near where I live, and try to keep fit with a leisurely work-out and swim at a local gym several times a week. I love eating out, foreign travel (particularly a bit off the beaten track - I went to Ethiopia twice in 2019), cinema, theatre, classical music (I can't sing or read music, but I 'know what I like'). My greatest pleasure is reading - I usually have a couple of books on the go - and I am a volunteer 'school reading buddy', helping kids with poor reading skills, usually because English is not their first language and is not spoken much at home. My philosophy on life is - 'live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away.'

My ideal match would be someone with a spirited approach to life, active, a good traveller, sociable, and able to uphold his side of the conversation. A non-smoker, and a light drinker. A good sense of humour (which means he laughs at the same jokes as I do, and prefers wit to slapstick comedy). Enjoys theatre, cinema, classical music, and eating out. A good education, possibly a retired professional. And if he wants to watch football on TV, he'll probably be doing it on his own, as I shall be curled up elsewhere with a good book.
