As the numbers go up on my birthday cards I clearly haven’t got the hang of this ‘growing old’ malarkey or even possibly growing up; Mirror, Mirror on the Wall does not reflect my childlike sense of fun, my love of laughing or my reindeer fur slippers (OMGoodness, did I really just admit to those? Oh well!!).
While I have no fear of travelling, site-seeing or even being on my own, it is so much nicer having someone to ooo!! aah!! with whether it’s gawping in awe at the Sydney Opera House, surrounded by trees or being mesmerised with a glass of good red or, preferably, chilled bubbles watching a Cornish sunset.
The serious stuff: good food, good wine, good coffee and cake, good taste, good conversation, good company … Goodness.
- walking and I have nail varnish that matches the trim on my boots (yes, seriously) although a sense of direction and orientation have seriously passed me by
- yoga and I like to watch live sport especially rugby, cricket and have been known to watch Tottenham
I am a DIYer and have just finished boarding my loft and all the stuff that goes with a new house
I’m seriously learning to play the piano but it doesn’t always sound like it
- listening to music; dancing especially when no one is looking
