On my desert island I'll have Bach, Beethoven, Cohen and the Beatles. .. and I'll enjoy swimming in the warm tropical sea ... for a while.

I love life and really living it, although I can be quiet and introspective and sometimes need down time to recharge the batteries. I love being outdoors in all weathers and walking in nature and swimming, having achieved my third winter of sea swimming. I'm so happy about that and its health benefits have been astonishing.
I'm trying to help preserve our planet, to keep myself healthy, to help care for the people and animals which share our world. I enjoy a lot of things and am never bored and rarely sad or low.
I'm passionate about the arts and am particularly interested in colour, shape and form, be it in furniture, buildings, movement in modern ballet...
I'm a part of book groups, choirs, film societies, practice yoga and walk lots. You might say I am conventionally challenged -- you might....
And then there's music. I've been music making now for about 30 years and have been very privileged to have been a part of great performances with many of the major orchestras of the world as well as by the tiniest of a capella choirs. Now I'm starting to learn jazz improvisation. It's so freeing after the constraints of choral singing, however beautiful and wonderful many of the works have been.
I love travel of course and have recently returned from living 16 years in South West France.
